Weekly Planner

Welcome to 7th grade ELA!  Below you will be able to see what we do in class each day.   You should see something similar to this in your child’s planner as well.  If you see NH that means no homework.  If you see HW that means they have homework if they were not able to finish it in class.

Friday

  • Finish typing paper including parenthetical citations and works cited page
  • Make any changes from revising and editing
  • Print and turn in final copy and blue rubric to Ms. Nowak

This week students are writing the rough draft for their compare/contrast paper.  In addition, they will be revising and editing.  Next week, students will go to the computer lab to type and again revise and edit the final copy of their paper.  The final copy is due by November 11 and is worth 35% of their ELA grade.

I would like to give a big thank you to Mrs. Hall who is a guest speaker this week.  Ask your son or daughter about the importance of revising and editing.
